North of the Mekong River on the slopes and plateaus of the Dong Mai highlands grow some of Vietnam’s finest cacaos. The climate here is perfect for the cacao trees. The rich soils give the cacao its distinctive rich and complex taste. Farmers grow and ferment their cacao on their family farms. With their skills and dedication they are able to produce this absolute asian gem.
